A note from our publisher, RK Arora, to mark RobinAge’s 17th Anniversary.
Reading is a gateway to knowledge. It is education’s strongest learning tool. The habit of regular reading improves vocabulary, communication skills and the ability to analyse information and think critically. It increases awareness, enabling young minds to make well-informed decisions and choices.
Since 2008, RobinAge continues to be the top choice for children across India to explore print news, enjoy knowledge-based fun and engage in enriching activities. Our readers now span across three generations—Millennials, Gen Z and Gen Alpha. And for those of them who choose to consume content online, our website www.robinage.com offers convenience and easy access to a wide range of materials and interactive features. These include videos and printable worksheets, offering a reading experience that is as engaging as our much-loved print newspaper.
Today, we step into our 18th year of publication. As we embark on this landmark year, we are proud to share that ROBINAGE has once again (for the 7th time since 2016) won the KidsStopPress Award for Best Newspaper & Magazine. This win is especially significant for us, having competed alongside renowned, respected publications like The Hindu’s Young World and many others.
This year, we are also thrilled to take one more stride towards our dream of making RobinAge a more inclusive platform for children. Thanks to the hard work of 17-year-old Mumbai student Ariana Singhi, ROBINAGE is now accessible to 44,000 visually challenged readers. You can learn more about this initiative in the letter from our editor.
On the occassion of our 17th anniversary, we are also thrilled to present the winners of the RobinAge Bright Sparks Awards 2024-25—these young changemakers have published their own books, worked on important social issues and worthy environmental causes and one six-year-old has even successfully made it to Everest Base Camp! We hope their achievements inspire you to make a difference in your own special way.
Wishing all our RobinAgers happy reading and continued success in the new academic year!
