MATERIALS
- Chart paper in white and red
- Scissors
- Tape
Glue - Pencil
- Ruler
METHOD
- Cut a white square measuring 11 centimetres on each side.
- Divide the square into 11 equal parts as shown.
- Fold the square and cut it along the lines but don’t cut it all the way to the end.
- Cut small, thin strips of red chart paper, each measuring 15 centimetres in length.
- Open the square. Pass 1 red strip through 1 slit through the centre as shown.
- Pass 1 red strip through 3 slits and the second strip through 5 slits above the first red strip.
- Pass the remaining 6 strips above these 3 strips until you form the shape of a heart as shown. Turn the paper over and stick the strips in place so they do not move.
- Cut the extra strips off.
- Your paper heart is ready! Gift it to your mom on Motherʼs Day!
