To identify and address learning challenges faced by students, the Tamil Nadu School Education Department undertook a state learning achievement survey involving students studying in classes 3, 5 and 8 of government-aided and government schools across Tamil Nadu. The survey, carried out in February, involved the participation of 20 students from each of the three classes. The survey questions were formulated to evaluate students’ abilities to comprehend their lessons. Based on the survey, the government will take necessary steps to improve teaching techniques and amend the curriculum.
