The World Weather Attribution (WWA), a group that studies the impact of climate change on weather events, has found that Europe’s seas are warming up this summer, raising concerns of potential threats to marine flora and fauna. According to scien tists, climate change is the leading factor contributing to the worrying spike. Based on the group’s study, Western European seas have warmed by over 1.3°C to 1.4°C. Fur thermore, the study re vealed that temperatures in the Mediterranean Sea have increased by 2°C, increasing the risk of marine habitat de struction. According to scien tists, the phenomenon could lead to increased tempera tures on land, disturbances to food chains and several other ecological problems.
