Once upon a time, there was a yellow school bus up on a hill outside a house. This was Tina’s house. Tina is a five-year-old happy and playful girl who loves adventures. She loves being with her friends Saavi, Miraan and Vibhu.
The bus that came to pick them up that day was not their usual bus. It was a magical bus—a bus that allows kids to see their favourite things outside the window. This bus also takes you to magical places.
On the way to school, the bus suddenly went up into the sky and the children saw magical things. Vibhu saw it raining and muddy puddles everywhere. Saavi saw a rainbow. Tina saw a unicorn flying by, and Miraan saw strawberry fields.
Suddenly, the bus landed among the strawberry fields. This place not only had strawberry fields, it also had water fountains and toy houses. This magical place was called Abunda — where you found everything in abundance.
The children were super excited. They played in the doll houses and jungle gyms, jumped in the fountains, and picked strawberries to eat. But while they made merry, they were really out of control. They took more strawberries than they could eat.
The native people of Abunda, who were happy to see the children at first, became sad when they saw the children wasting and not sharing. Tina felt sorry too.
Just then, the magical bus called her and told her, “There is so much for everyone in Abunda — and the true magic is in sharing.”
Tina called all her friends and told them about this. So they began cleaning up the place and sharing with the people of Abunda. This made everyone happy, and suddenly there were more fountains, toy houses and strawberries.
Now it was time to go back to school. As the bus went up into the sky, everyone saw a rainbow above Abunda.
On this magical journey, the children learnt that there is enough for everyone’s need, but not for greed. True magic is in sharing.
