Toy company LEGO has introduced a new set based on the Sagrada Família, a basilica in Spain that has been under construction for over a century. The model, comprising 12,060 pieces, is LEGO’s largest set by pieces and emulates characteristics of the actual basilica, including its stained-glass windows. Upon completion, the model will have a height of nearly 24 inches (2ft) and a width of 18.5 inches. The set honours the 100th death anniversary of Antoni Gaudi, the Spanish architect who designed the historic church. The construction of the Sagrada Família began in 1882.
