Based on information from the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA), India’s seafood export quantity reached 19.72 lakh tonnes, recording a 16.13% increase in volume compared to the previous fiscal year. Among the marine products exported, frozen shrimp emerged as the leading product, making up around $5.62 billion of the export earnings. The Visakhapatnam Port played a vital role in these operations, contributing significantly to the earnings.
