- Dairy company Mother Dairy has taken a revolutionary step with the introduction of new, eco-friendly milk pouches that seek to reduce the negative impacts of plastic waste.
- The company has developed milk pouches that degrade more quickly than traditional plastic used in packaging. The pouch material turns into bioavailable wax in the soil. It is further degraded by microbes, allowing environmentally friendly elimination of the waste.
- This new packaging was initially introduced in the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) on the occasion of World Environment Day on June 5.
- It has been launched for the company’s cow milk variant without price changes. No changes are required in how consumers store the milk.
