Exploring The Extraterrestrail

The mystery of aliens and life beyond Earth has intrigued the world for decades. People across the globe have reported unidentified flying object (UFO) sightings over the years; however, scientists have still not found proof of life on other planets. Every year, July 2 is observed as WORLD UFO DAY to make people aware of the possibility of extraterrestrial life and to spread knowledge about UFOs. To mark the occasion, SCARLETT RODRIGUES asked a few RobinAgers what questions they would ask aliens if they met them and how they would interact with them. Here’s what they had to say.

If I came across aliens, I would be startled initially; however, I would try to befriend them later. Apart from asking them about their daily habits and communication techniques, I would be keen to understand deeper aspects, such as their ability to experience emotions. I would be curious to know if they felt grief, excitement, love and empathy. I would ask them about their history, evolution and civilisation. Another interesting thing I would like to understand is how they measure time. I would ask them whether they use units, such as minutes and hours, like us. Additionally, I would want to know if their planet has countries and whether they experience threats such as wars and AI.

Based on the movies I have watched, I think aliens have quite a weird appearance and that’s why I would probably be terrified if I encountered them. However, I would be filled with curiosity and would have numerous questions for them. I would ask them what a day in their life looks like. I would also like to understand more about the language they speak, their cuisine, their cooking methods and their technology. I would also want to know if elements like festivals and sports form part of their culture. I would make the most of the unforgettable encounter.

Firstly, I would want to know how the aliens understand our language. I would be curious to know the distance they covered to reach Earth and the type of fuel they used to make their journey possible. I would find out if they consume food like us or need some other resources to sustain them. Additionally, I would ask them if they know of other planets that host life. I would be happy to educate the aliens about our way of life and share some of my knowledge with them. As I am good at art, I would love to teach them drawing.

If I encountered aliens, I would be eager to get to know more about them. I would ask them many questions about their planet and would also want to know what technology they employed to reach here. I believe learning about this advanced technology would aid humans on missions. I would also like to know the reason behind the aliens’ visit. I would click numerous pictures with them to remember this unique encounter. I would teach them many things, including cricket.

Meeting aliens would be an exciting experience for me. I would be curious to understand their lifestyle and facts about their planet and would like to explore their culture. I would ask them if they face issues such as climate change and pollution that humans struggle with and if they have developed methods to tackle these matters. I would also be interested to learn about the technology they use on their planet and how they built their spaceship. I would be happy to take a ride in their spaceship if they allowed me. I believe acquiring knowledge from them could provide us with new perspectives and improve the lives of everyone on Earth.

I would ask the aliens if they travelled from the moon, Mars or some other planet. I would want to know about their daily life and whether their lifestyle is like ours. I would love to know whether they live with their family members like us and would be happy to meet their family. I would ask if they visited our planet in search of resources or a job. I would also like to learn about how they grow and consume food and the kind of food they eat.

ACTIVITY: A New Language

Imagine this: A couple of aliens have landed near your home and you can suddenly understand their language. Make up 5 words in the aliens’ language along with their meaning.
