
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup rice ada (palada)
- 1 litre full cream milk
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
- Slightly roasted cashews and raisins (optional)
METHOD
- Boil 2 to 3 cups of water. Once it boils, add the rice ada and let it cook for a couple of minutes (alternatively, read the instructions on the packet for cooking the ada).
- Strain the water and keep the boiled ada aside.
- In a thick-bottomed pan, add the milk. Bring it to a boil. Keep stirring the milk.
- Once it boils down to ¾th of its quantity, add the boiled and strained palada.
- Add the sugar and let everything boil together till it becomes thick.
- Add the cardamom powder and the cashews and raisins. Serve hot.
