A girl named Vinisha Umashankar from Tamil Nadu has earned recognition for creating an ironing cart that operates with the help of solar energy. After noticing the amount of charcoal being used in charcoal irons and the environmental impact it has, Vinisha was motivated to create an eco-friendly alternative. She studied scientific topics and concepts to enhance her idea. Vinisha’s cart is equipped with solar panels and can function without charcoal. Her innovation gained acknowledgment globally and also won her the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam IGNITE Award.
