Rahul Arepaka, a co-founder at Harvested Robotics, has created an agricultural tool called Rakshak, which uses laser technology to get rid of weeds without harming the environment. Rakshak, which is attached to tractors, employs artificial intelligence (AI) to identify weeds, which are then burnt with the help of lasers. The tool allows for the efficient destruction of weeds, offering farmers an economical and sustainable weed management method. As this tool eliminates the need for chemicals traditionally employed for weed destruction, it protects crops as well as soil. It also eliminates the labour associated with the manual removal of weeds.
