
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup whole green moong dal
- 1cm ginger
- 1 to 2 green chillies
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- Salt to taste
- 1 to 2 tablespoons rice flour
- Oil for cooking
METHOD
- Soak the moong dal for 4 to 5 hours or overnight.
- Then grind it with the ginger, green chillies, cumin seeds and salt. Add water to blend everything together and make a smooth batter.
- Take the batter out in a bowl, add the rice flour and mix well.
- Add water to get a dosa batter consistency.
- On a hot dosa tawa, pour a little bit of oil. Place a ladleful of batter and spread it evenly like a dosa.
- Cook it well and serve it with chutney or tomato sauce.
