A judge in the Punjab and Haryana High Court named Justice Lisa Gill will soon become Andhra Pradesh High Court’s chief justice. This appointment will make her the first woman to serve in this post in the court’s history. Gill, who has more than three decades of experience in the legal field, is set to succeed Chief Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur after he retires. Her transfer took place in accordance with a new policy that aims to acquaint the person who will take charge of the position with administrative matters by transferring them in advance. Gill, who is an alumnus of Panjab University, has experience in tackling constitutional, civil, revenue and several other legal issues.
