The lack of energy in Cuba has impacted several industries, including education and healthcare, leading the country to experience serious turmoil. As USA restricted the oil exported to Cuba following political tensions between USA and Venezuela, Cuba has been drastically affected with a scarcity of essentials and power outages. Cuba had already been struggling with the effects of Hurricane Melissa that struck in 2025. To help the country cope with the situation, the European Union (EU) has granted Cuba humanitarian aid, while the United Nations (UN) has urged other countries to render assistance to ensure the availability of daily essentials in Cuba.
