Little Drop

Namasvi Jain, Class 8, Modern School Vasant Vihar, Delhi

Away little drop,
He got pushed by the wind away.
Away from his parents his life was a tragic play
To find out about them everything he did
But alas! Nothing!
After all, he was only a kid.
He fell with a splash,
Into something unknown
Only to find out that he had grown
I cannot grow he thought
And both sides of his brain fought.
The side which thought that this cannot be true
That side said there are more of me than a few.
He was not the only one of his kind
This in his small life was a spectacular find
Two drops took him in
Everything went well till the day came wind
It went fast
And the moment in which he lived with his kind went in the past.
The wind carried him away and away
Just to drop him in another lake.
It did not take him long to explain his situation
The new drops thought about his information.
Another family took him in
And said from tomorrow your new life will begin.
The people there said everything was education
It could be of use in any situation.
He made friends called Ralph and Ron
Once again everything went well till brightly the sun shone
It shone so brightly
That the rays picked up drop tightly.
They drew him towards the sky
They took him really high.
Up and up he soared
Next to him the wind roared.
He felt scared
This was something he had never been prepared.
Wind told him it was called evaporation
It was the end of his water cycle he would now go and meet his parents
At this news he felt elation
He reached their home
From outside it was elegant but inside so comfortable
He thought it was foam
He finally met his parents something he had always dreamt to do
And sitting with them time really flew.
He started telling them about his travels
After the beginning, the story like ribbon, unraveled
His old friends Ralph and Ron appeared together a moment later
And their friendship became even greater
This way little drop became old
The older he got the more of his story got unrolled
This way with his family and friends he lived a happily ever after life
After this in his life there was not even a bit of strife.
It was like his story had been foretold
His fortune was more expensive than gold.
