  • California, USA, and Japan experienced 5.6 and 6.9-magnitude earthquakes, respectively.
  • Two consecutive earthquakes with magnitudes of 7.2 and 7.5 jolted Venezuela, damaging homes and infrastructure and injuring and killing several people. Following this, another 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck the country on June 26.
  • Additionally, on June 26, the Philippines experienced a 6.7-magnitude earthquake.
  • A 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck the Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan on the same day, with tremors felt across parts of North India.
  • According to experts, this series of earthquakes could not be clubbed together as one event as they were part of different tectonic systems.
