- Patrick Herminie, the president of Seychelles, made a five-day visit to India in February to strengthen the diplomatic relations between Seychelles and India.
- The trip marked the completion of 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
- Herminie is Seychelles’ sixth president and this is his first visit to India since he took charge of the post in October 2025.
- The French President Emmanuel Macron also visited India from February 17 to 19.
- Both the presidents, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indian government members engaged in talks on topics including international and bilateral matters.
