
To become a registered dietician you need to:
- Complete your class 12 in science, preferably with biology as a subject.
- Complete your bachelor’s degree in food science and nutrition or food technology.
- Complete your post-graduation (master’s degree) in food and nutrition.
- Complete a six-month internship as a dietician at a recognised hospital.
- Appear in and clear the registered dietician (RD) examination, which is held every November in Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai.
