India has achieved a significant milestone with seven of the country’s schools being shortlisted for the World’s Best School Prizes 2026, an esteemed award in the field of education. The schools have earned a spot in the top 10 shortlist for the awards, reflecting India’s growth in the field of education. The award is conferred across five categories, with three Indian schools being chosen under the ‘Community Collaboration’ category and two being chosen under the ‘Innovation’ category. Additionally, one Indian school has been shortlisted for the ‘Supporting Healthy Lives’ and ‘Environmental Action’ categories. The awards have been founded by T4 Education, an organisation based in the UK, and India has scripted history as the country with the most schools shortlisted in a year since the awards were introduced in 2022.
