Nandan Nilekani Takes Charge of Exam Security Reforms

Nandan Nilekani, co-founder and chairman of Infosys, who has played a defining role in shaping India’s digital public infrastructure, was chosen by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to head a high-powered task force to make India’s examination system more secure, technology-driven and resistant to paper leaks.

Nandan Nilekani, co-founder and chairman of Infosys, who has played a defining role in shaping India’s digital public infrastructure, was chosen by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to head a high-powered task force to make India’s examination system more secure, technology-driven and resistant to paper leaks. Nilekani was the founding chairman of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) from 2009 to 2014, which led to the development of Aadhaar. He has been part of the government’s Technology Advisory Group for Unique Projects (TAGUP) and the G20 Task Force on Digital Public Infrastructure. He has also co-founded EkStep Foundation, which uses technology to support basic literacy and numeracy, and eGov Foundation, which develops digital tools to help improve urban governance and public services.
