
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups chopped spinach
- 1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, crushed or finely chopped
- 100 grams feta cheese
- 3 tablespoons grated regular cheese (optional)
- Salt to taste
- Seasonings of choice (like chilli flakes and black pepper)
- Olive oil
METHOD
- Knead the all-purpose flour with some salt, oil and lukewarm water.
- Let it rest for an hour.
- Meanwhile in a bowl, add the chopped spinach, onion, garlic, feta cheese and seasonings.
- Mix it all well.
- Make a small ball from the kneaded dough and roll it out.
- Add the stuffing on one half of the rolled dough and cover it with the other half. Seal the dough, making sure the edges are sealed properly.
- Heat a pan or tawa, put the stuffed gözleme on it and cook well on both sides till they turn golden brown.
- Cut them into pieces and enjoy them hot.
