- The first commercial command and control centre for space domain awareness in Asia has been set up at Bengaluru by Digantara, a Bengaluru-based space technology company. The facility is located within the company’s 25,000sq ft global headquarters in Hebbal, Bengaluru.
- The inauguration of the global headquarters took place on April 19 and was attended by space industry experts from more than 10 countries and S Somanath, chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
- The command and control centre will help to control space traffic, track satellites and enable efficient space operations for Digantara’s clients worldwide.
- The company headquarters also house a satellite assembly, integration and testing (AIT) facility, which will help in the launch of future space projects.
