Major General Ashim Kohli, a retired Indian Army officer, has started an initiative that converts old army uniforms into schoolbags for children. Through the Sewaj Neesim Foundation, which he founded, Kohli collects old army uniforms and recycles them into schoolbags and other products. These bags are given to children from rural areas, disadvantaged communities and regions facing conflict. The initiative blends environmental consciousness and responsibility, providing students with useful school materials.
