To encourage students to perform well in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations, the Bagalkot district education department has come up with an attractive award scheme. As part of this effort, three toppers of every government school in the district’s talukas will be given cash prizes. Additionally, students who attain full marks in a subject will also receive a cash prize. This initiative has received more than ₹1 crore through contributions from entrepreneurs, institutions and other donors.
