With an aim to enhance security in the critical minerals sector, UK and India have established the India-UK Critical Minerals Global Supply Chain Observatory (GSCO) in New Delhi. Created by the University of Cambridge, UK, in partnership with TEXMiN at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, the platform will provide vital information on critical minerals and help countries detect obstacles in their supply. The platform is expected to guide policies and enable improved planning and decision-making for industries, supporting both countries’ economic growth. It will also facilitate knowledge sharing.
