Well-known conservationist Bibhab Kumar Talukdar has been elected a Fellow of the Linnean Society of London (FLS), a landmark recognition for his contributions to science and nature. This society encourages the study and preservation of nature and bestows the honour on individuals who have supported its objectives. Talukdar, who belongs to Assam, has over 30 years of experience in the field of conservation. He is famous for his efforts towards the conservation of rhinoceroses. His conservation work also won him the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Species Survival Commission (SSC) Harry Messel Award for Conservation Leadership.
