- The Assam Advanced Healthcare Innovation Institute (AAHII), a partnership between the Assam government and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, conducted a symposium on November 8 with the aim of improving India’s self-reliance in the healthcare sector.
- Well-known scientists, doctors and healthcare experts assembled at this event with the aim of discussing advancements in the healthcare sector and reducing India’s reliance on healthcare-related imports.
- IIT Guwahati and the Government of Assam have also partnered to establish an advanced healthcare facility.
- This initiative aims to provide affordable treatment and the latest healthcare technology, including robotic procedures.
