A painting created by a humanoid robot called Ai-Da was sold for a price of $1.08 million at an auction, creating history as the most expensive piece of art produced by a robot with human-like traits. The artwork, called ‘AI God: Portrait of Alan Turing’, is a portrait of British computer scientist and mathematician Alan Turing. It was sold at an auction in Sotheby’s New York, USA, fetching a price that was much higher than expected. Ai-Da, which was created by Aidan Meller, an experienced British art dealer, operates using artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
