Young Innovators: Meet Ishat Jain, Founder of SUNROOOF

21-year-old Ishat Jain has launched a startup called SUNROOOF that provides people with virtual sunlight exposure indoors. Jain has innovated a lighting system that makes any ceiling appear like the sky; it can easily be installed in homes, offices and other places. According to researchers, people’s mood is affected by their exposure to sunlight and a reduced level of sunlight is known to cause depression. Through his innovation, Jain aims to make virtual sunlight available to people who do not receive enough exposure to sunlight. SUNROOOF, a Delhi-based venture, provides a variety of products based on customers’ needs including a ‘Fluted Sunrooof’, a ‘Modern Sunrooof’ and an ‘Atrium Sunrooof’.
