To promote the habit of reading, a college student named Heet Doshi and another student named Om Thakkar have set up a library box in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The box contains books that can be borrowed by the public free of charge. Through this facility, people can also lend their own books, allowing other readers to enjoy them. The students decided to set up library boxes, which have the capacity to accommodate about 20 books, after being inspired by a village in Kerala that has established similar facilities. Doshi and Thakkar have installed a box in Parimal Garden in Ahmedabad and also plan to install more boxes in other well-known parks across Ahmedabad.
