Pavani Lolla, an alumnus of Vignana Bharathi Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, is the co-founder of Future Step, an organisation that offers composting solutions. Pavani and her co-founders innovated a composter that can be used to convert households’ organic waste into compost quickly and simply, preventing it from being dumped into landfills. Called Vapra, the composter can be used to decompose leftover fruits, vegetable peels, rice and other types of organic waste and obtain compost in a week.
