A home construction company called Lennar, design firm Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) and 3D-printing construction firm ICON are constructing a community of 100 3D-printed homes in Texas, USA. This neighbourhood is the largest 3D-printed neighbourhood and will soon be open to residents. The walls of the houses were constructed using robotic printers and are made of Lavacrete, a high-strength concrete. The homes have three to four bedrooms and their windows, doors and roofs are equipped with solar panels. The homes vary in size from 1,500 to 2,100 sq ft and are single-storeyed.
