Scientists have created a window coating that could decrease the temperature inside buildings without using any form of energy to cool the room. This transparent coating could be used to cool automobiles too.
The window film has been developed to obstruct the heat from the sun without blocking the window’s view. As compared with regular windows, it reduces the energy needed to cool rooms by 31% in hot and dry cities.

Cooling accounts for approximately 15% of global energy consumption.
