Where is your compassion,
The kindness once so true?
It’s something I can’t see,
A light that once shone through.
You speak of freedom’s fire,
Yet bind us in your chains,
As promises of peace
Drift away like falling rains.
Where is your compassion,
The love you used to show?
The world once called you a hero,
But now, you’ve let it go.
You turn away in silence,
Close doors with iron will,
And though your strength is endless,
Your heart lies cold and still.
Where is your compassion,
Where is your guiding light?
The dove you once protected,
Now takes to endless flight.
You cast it out in anger,
And claim the world is free,
But you have built your kingdom,
On broken hearts, and plea.
Where is your compassion,
Your name, so strong, so bright,
Begins with “Super”—power,
Yet shrouded now in night.
The rope of love, once binding,
Unravels with each blow,
And all that’s left behind you
Is sorrow in the glow.
Where is your compassion,
The hope you swore to bring?
Now shadows rule your silence,
And echoes softly sing.
Oh, what became of you,
The hero we once knew?
The world still waits in longing,
For the heart that once was true.
