When the mind wandered elsewhere
Casting wishes on petals so small
Chasing dreams so tall
Imagination flies high, like a bird in the sky
The child’s mind has more than meets the eye
A little soul sat in an abloom field,
Looking up at the sky, ideas reeled
in the feisty mind of his
As he lost himself into the abyss.
And suddenly he found himself in the middle of a classroom-
Suffocating in nature and intoxicated with gloom
His attempts to memorise tables went futile…
How long it had been since the class has felt alive!
The boy lent his ears to the windows
Longing to hear chirps and tweets from afar meadows
How could he learn, in a world of despair?
How could he learn,
When his mind wandered elsewhere?
