They say books are the holy grail of life,
But to me they are the escape from the struggle and strife.
They say songs are a way of expressing feelings,
I am artistic form of emotional healing.
But to me they’re my best friend,
Or understanding knowing no end.
As a kid, I admired heroes.
Growing up, I understand villains.
It feels like the world is turning gray,
But fear not; books and music have never led one astray.
