What Are Black Holes?

Black holes are areas in space where the gravity is so huge that it absorbs everything that crosses its event horizon, including light. The event horizon is the boundary of the black hole beyond which nothing can be seen. Because all objects and light are sucked into a black hole, it is invisible.
