Wai Wai Chatpate

Wai wai chatpate is a popular Nepali street food. It is a must-try snack that’s both tangy and crunchy.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pack Wai Wai ready-to-eat noodles 
  • ½ cup boiled black chickpeas 
  • ½ each onion, tomato and cucumber, finely chopped 
  • ¼ cup finely chopped coriander leaves 
  • 1 green chilli, finely chopped 
  • Sev of choice or puffed rice 
  • Chaat masala, salt and red chilli powder to taste 
  • Taste maker from the noodle packet 
  • Spicy sauce of choice 

METHOD

  • Take a big bowl and crush the Wai Wai noodles into small pieces. 
  • Add the boiled chickpeas and sev or puffed rice. 
  • Add all the chopped vegetables. 
  • Now add all the dry spices, taste maker and sauce. 
  • Mix everything well. 
  • Serve immediately to enjoy the crunch. 
  • This popular Nepali snack tastes great with a hot cup of tea or coffee.
