Vedanya International School in Gurugram has been awarded a platinum level of certification under the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) green schools rating system for successfully achieving green school standards. The school makes use of energy-efficient electrical equipment, a 100% wastewater treatment system and a rainwater harvesting system, which ensure the efficient use of energy and water, respectively. The school has also made provisions for organic waste composting and dry waste recycling. The school building has a climate-responsive design with wall and glass insulation and is built using environment-friendly and recycled materials. It is designed in a way that ensures adequate light and ventilation.
