Three new species of snakes have been discovered by a group of scientists in Ecuador. These small, cylindrical and archaic-looking Cryptozoic snake species were found hidden underneath graveyards and churches in remote towns in the Andes Mountains of Ecuador.
The snakes belong to the Atractus genus, which presently comprises 150 species. These species live in remote cloud forests, beneath the surface of the ground or in deep crevices and most people haven’t seen them because of their shy nature.
