One day, I had the worst day ever. It all started when I woke up late for school. I jumped out of bed, but my pyjamas got tangled in the sheets. I tried to get dressed quickly, but I put my shirt on backward and my socks didn’t match.
When I ran downstairs for breakfast, I accidentally spilled my cereal all over the floor. Mom was busy, so she asked me to clean it up. I grabbed a cloth and tried to wipe up the mess, but it just made it worse. Now, the kitchen was a soggy mess.
At school, things didn’t get better. I forgot my homework at home, and the teacher was not happy. During recess, I tried to join a game of tag, but I tripped and fell in the mud. My clothes were all dirty, and everyone laughed. I felt so embarrassed.
When I got home, I was tired and sad. I tried to do my homework, but I just couldn’t focus. I made a mistake on every page. My dog, Max, chewed up one of my favourite books, which made me even more upset.
Finally, as I was getting ready for bed, I realised I had forgotten to practise my piano lesson. I felt like nothing was going right that day. I crawled into bed, feeling pretty grumpy.
But the next morning, things got a little better. I remembered that everyone has tough days, and that’s okay. Even though it was the worst day ever, I knew that tomorrow could be better, and I felt a bit better knowing that.
