In my opinion, electricity is the most important invention because other inventions wouldn’t be possible without it. Electricity is required in every field and is used in all industries. Electricity lights up our homes and powers our televisions. The blenders, microwaves and refrigerators in our kitchens run on electricity. The Wi-Fi routers that enable us to access the internet are powered by electricity. Our electric doorbells let us know if there is someone at the door. Elevators and escalators that help us save time and energy use electricity. Electric vehicles (EVs) that play a vital role in curbing pollution use electricity. Thus, a world without electricity would be unimaginable.

According to me, the invention of the mobile phone is the best as it has numerous uses. The invention of this gadget is credited to Martin Cooper, who invented the first handheld cell phone. We can play games on the mobile phone and send messages via WhatsApp without wasting time writing long letters. The messages we send are delivered safely and quickly, enabling easy communication. Additionally, our phones enable easy financial transactions using the Unified Payments Interface (UPI). We can also control different smart devices in our house with our phones.

I think the invention of robots or innovations in the field of robotics are important because they will improve efficiency in different areas to a great extent. Robotics has a variety of applications. In today’s fast-paced world, humans are competing with the efficiency of machines. Robotics has automated various activities and processes. Robotics is used in a variety of industries including the automotive industry, healthcare and manufacturing. The employment of robotics in different fields will lead to a rise in career opportunities and increased productivity. However, people also fear that artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics may replace humans in various fields. But as we have created this technology, we will also have to learn how to master it and use it to our benefit.

I think the wheel is a very important invention. In the olden days, humans could not travel or transport things to distant places. The ‘wheel and axle’ concept eased many tasks and proved to be a big hit! Humans started using wheels in a variety of fields including transportation and agriculture. Humans were gradually able to travel to distant places thanks to the wheeled cart. Now, wheels form the basis of many other inventions and technologies. Presently, wheels are used everywhere from clocks to turbines to automobiles.

I think the internet is an important invention. Vinton Cerf and Robert Kahn played a vital role in the development of the internet. We have access to a lot of information on the internet through devices such as computers, telephones, tablets, smart televisions and laptops. The internet keeps the whole world connected. It is like a friend to me as it answers all my questions. During the COVID-19 pandemic, people were able to continue their work and education with the help of the internet. However, we must be careful while using it.
