The Unseen Masterpiece

Tia Rupani, Class 9, CP Goenka International School, Oshiwara, Mumbai

When droplets of sunshine fall from the sun,
they land on the most beautiful face
A pleasing smile, A perfectly shaped nose,
An hourglass body and hands of grace
When you look into her eyes,
a gush of wind refreshes all your thoughts
Her pupils, so brown, glossy and dark
like the ancient Egyptian pots
Her laugh, so calming and natural
like little children playing games
And the smile which follows after,
holds an essence of comforting traits
Her hair holds wonder
that would outshine sunsets and space
As her curls bounce around,
leaving a forever-following trace
She’s prettier than the paintings she paints
Looking at her causes even the greatest artists to faint
If she were a book shed be the most read
A Book readers would dream about after going to bed
Shes so mesmerising and kind why is that so hard to see?
Why won’t you just give her the golden attention she needs.
