Problem
According to a World Health Organization (WHO) report, 8 out 10 teenagers aren’t physically active in societies, and 1 out 3 adults also are not meeting good health guidelines! There is also a report by Epidemiological Meta-Analyses on Sedentary Behavior says 73% increase of chronic risk just by sitting for 8 hours straight without any workout exercises to cancel out those 8 hours, and, in all type 2 diabetes cases (where people get type 2 diabetes), the Lancet and British Journal of Sports Medicine mentioned that 7.4% of all of those cases are caused by inactivity.
Solution & Action plan
To follow good health guidelines we must get 7 to 9 hours of good sleep in a quiet dark room, and we should reduce sitting time, of course since we all go to school, for usually around 7 to 9 hours almost daily, we must stay active during recess, and we should aim for about 1 hour of exercise. When we have periods of sports and exercise (usually during P.E/P.T) we must stay active and at home we also must aim for at least 30 to 40 minutes of exercise daily (except during school) and 2 days of strength-training sessions weekly. And also we must never forget to stay hydrated, and avoid eating junk food, limit sugar and avoid coffee and tea, even though adults drink them a lot doesnt mean it’s healthy. And when we grow up to adults, we also must avoid smoking (causes lung diseases and even heart attacks) and excessive alcohol drinking. (ESPECIALLY when you have to drive later on) And illegal drugs are a big no, they contain toxic substance that damages our perceptions and make us addicted, leading to organ damage. That is why the government is running programs that prevent youth from consuming illegal drugs. Smoking, Alchohol and illegal drugs give a sense of relief and relaxation, but you shouldn’t be addicted to those short-term “relaxations” as the side effects for all of these stuff can be deadly. For proper healthy long-term relaxation, we can do yoga and we can play sports or do things that we like! (except for the unhealthy stuff, if you feel relaxed during screen time, you must set a timer and limit it.) There was a study made that people that sit continuously daily actually get enough cardiovascular damages that is similar to smoking!
Conclusion
In conclusion, we must stay healthy and get 7 to 9 hours of good sleep in a quiet dark room, and we should reduce sitting time, and we should avoid harmful things like smoking, drinking alcohol and illegal drugs.
