The 98th Academy Awards, also called the Oscars 2026, took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, USA, on March 15, honouring the work of professionals in the film industry across numerous categories. The movie, ‘One Battle After Another’ bagged the award in the ‘Best Picture’ category, also winning five other awards, including ‘Best Film Editing’ and ‘Best Supporting Actor’. ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ won in the ‘Best Visual Effects’ category. This was the Avatar franchise’s third award in the category at the Oscars. Among other notable achievements was ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ winning in the ‘Best Animated Feature Film’ category and an award for the song ‘Golden’ in the ‘Best Original Song’ category.
