Lily and Flora are best friends. One day, as they were going to their school, they spotted a strange teddy bear with large eyes. It was plump with red spots all over its body. It was wearing funny-looking shoes.
The girls quickly ran into the school building. They researched on this strange bear in the school library. They understood that the bear attacks at night.
At the end of the day, Flora said, “Hey, Lily, nothing would happen to us.”
Lily replied with a little scared voice, “Are you sure, Flora?”
“Yes, don’t worry.”
After they went home, Flora heard some noises coming from outside. She peeked out of the window to check what was happening. She called her mom. Flora could see the same teddy bear near a tree on the road. But when she pointed the bear to her mother, she couldn’t spot it.
The bear targets only two people in town and other people could not see it. It comes from a hilly area and visits the town in summer. This summer, it’s Flora and Lily who are the bear’s targets.
Throughout the summer, the girls spotted the bear at many places. But when they asked others what they saw, they said that they saw nothing. No trace of the bear in their eyes.
The summer vacation ended and the girls were back in school. But the bear started to leave the town. The girls were extremely curious about where the bear was going. So, they immediately followed the bear. The bear boarded a bus and the girls boarded it too. When they got close to the bear, they found that it was not a bear, but it was a man!
It was a man in a bear suit!
Lily asked the man, “Why are you scaring us like this?”
The man replied, “I had gotten into this bear suit a long time ago. The main button in the suit broke. Now, I can’t not get out of the suit.”
“Wow!” exclaimed Flora.
The man continued, “Even though I couldn’t get out of the suit, I somehow made it invisible. Only who I target could see me.”
Flora said, “We are science students. We will check your suit, and find a way to fix it.”
The girls worked on the suit for a few minutes and found that there was a loose connection behind one of the switches inside. Lily took a screwdriver out of her bag and fixed it. When she pressed the button, the man easily got out of the suit.
The man said, “Thank you so much! You girls are so talented. When you grow up you should become scientists.”
The girls got off the bus at the next stop, and ran to school to tell their friends about their adventure.
