To increase the involvement of parents in their children’s education, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has launched the ‘Parent-Teacher Home Visit Programme’ in all colleges and schools across the state. Under this initiative, class teachers will be required to visit students’ homes twice every academic year so that parents are aware of their children’s educational progress. The programme also requires teachers to prepare an academic progress plan catering to each child’s unique learning needs. The programme will be executed from the 2024-2025 academic year.
