Tackling Boredom

sent by Dasamsh V Pulicharla, a class 9 student from The Crossword School, Guntur

Boredom. What is boredom? Is it a feeling you often experience at your school? Is it a lack of entertainment? What is boredom exactly? I guess it is a feeling that we experience when we feel like we have accomplished “everything” in this universe. We have nothing else left to do.

For me, boredom is a weird feeling. I feel like my eardrums have grown in size. I can hear every single detail in the sound spectrum—from the clock ticking to the birds chirping. It even feels like my eyeballs have ballooned. During this period, if I were asked to find a grain of salt in a heap of sand, I could easily find it.

There are many ways to get rid of boredom. Many of us would scroll through the internet or watch reels or shorts, but I suggest you do something productive. You could go take a stroll around your neighbourhood, tend to plants or visit your neighbours. You may finish reading your novel or find a game to play with your friends. Best of all, you can help your father or mother with their kitchen work. I wrote this because I was bored. You can also write an essay like this instead.
