Tabassum, an Indian actress and talk show host, passed away on November 18 at the age of 78. She was born in 1944 as Kiran Bala Sachdev and made her debut in films as a child artiste with the movie ‘Nargis’ in 1947. She was also part of movies like ‘Manjhdhar’, ‘Deedar’ and ‘Talash’. She was well-known for hosting the first television talk show in India called ‘Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan’, which started in 1972 and was aired on Doordarshan for two decades. She produced and directed her first film called ‘Tum Par Hum Qurban’ in the year 1985. She was also known for her YouTube channel called ‘Tabassum Talkies’.
